Thank you for your blogging of tree issues. But the news in Queens NY is not so celebratory with regard to the needless cutting of 40-50 year old Japanese cherry trees. Done so by order of the City and their planner / designers. That designers are still so inept to disregard the contribution of these aged trees to the community and not knowing that such trees can not be replaced.
